Q.I am School, College etc. Can I place an order with you using a Purchase Order Number and pay via Invoice? A. Yes, we will gladly accept a Purchase Order either via e-mail or by post. Our payments terms for this are 30 days. Q. Postage is FREE 2nd Class in the UK, can I upgrade to another service? A. Yes, there are various options you can select at checkout Q. What does level attenuating mean? A. Conventional hearing protectors attenuate (reduce), outside sound levels, but their problem is they can't reduce the levels equally and cut out more high frequency sounds than they do low frequency sounds. This means that everything sounds muffled and distorted. Thatis OK if you are operating a chain saw, but if you want to play or listen to live music, you need to hear everything in balance. Our custom made ER9, 15 and 25 level attenuating hearing protectors reduce all sounds equally, so it is just like turning down the volume without sacrificing any of the definition of what you want and need to hear. The ER9, 15 & 25 custom-fit hearing protectors have been independently tested by BSI (British Standards Institute) for accuracy. Each pair of ERs is tuned to work perfectly with your ears and are tested using specialist equipment to ensure they deliver the most uncompromising results before they leave the lab. They are made to measure, so provide unparalleled comfort, allowing you to wear them for hours at a time and the soft silicone construction means they move as you do to make them as unnoticeable as possible. Q. If I buy a custom product e.g ER9, how to do I go about getting my impressions? A.Once we have received your payment we will post out a voucher and paid invoice to you. On the reverse of the voucher is a website that you can go on and do a search based on your Post Code to find an audiologist near to you. You then make your appointment with them, and take your voucher with you on the day. The outlet you have visited will send your impressions off for manufacture. The finished product will then be sent back to you directly. Timescales for turnaround to finished product is generally 3-4 weeks, depending on volume of orders the lab has. During busier times of the year, this can take longer. Q.When I have my ear impressions taken, how long will they be valid for? A. Impressions of your ear can only be kept for about 3 months, as the impression material used will degrade. Once these are sent to the lab, they will make gel moulds of these that will be kept on file. Q. How long are my impressions kept on file at the lab? A.Impressions can only be kept on file for 4 years, due to changes in the shape of your ear. |
